Next Stride Wellness was born from a desire to give equestrians another way to support their equine athletes. After seeing the positive impact of PEMF and Red Light Therapy in my own horses and dogs, I knew I wanted to make these wellness modalities more accessible to others.
I understand the dedication that goes into caring for animals because I live it every day. Whether they are trusted partners, family companions, or lifelong friends, they deserve thoughtful care that supports them through every stage of life.
That belief continues to guide everything I do. Every session is approached with patience, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping each animal feel their best.

Next Stride Wellness is a mobile animal wellness service based in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Specializing in the wellness of performance equines and canines while proudly serving companion animals of all kinds. We provide MagnaWave PEMF and Red Light Therapy to support recovery, mobility, relaxation, and overall well-being. Every session is tailored to the individual animal's needs, whether they're a high-level athlete, a beloved family companion, or enjoying their retirement.
MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER:
MAKAYLIN SHOOP
Makaylin "Mak" Shoop has spent her life immersed in the equine industry. As a lifelong equestrian, she has competed in the hunters, jumpers, and equitation at the rated level before continuing her riding career in the collegiate ranks.
Mak earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Equine Studies from Goucher College, where she competed on the IHSA equestrian team and served as team captain. She later completed her MBA while serving as a graduate assistant coach for the University of Lynchburg's equestrian program.
Today, Mak is a certified MagnaWave PEMF Practitioner, certified ROC Red Light Therapy Practitioner, equine veterinary assistant and horse owner. She combines her professional training with years of hands-on experience in the equine industry to provide thoughtful, individualized wellness sessions for every animal she works with.
